Aventurine large Mid Century Modern style gemstone charm ring.
This stone was used in the 1960’s and 70’s in Scandinavian mid century modern jewellery.
Aventurine is a form of quartz. The green stone shimmers and glistens. The name of this stone comes from the Italian for ‘a ventura’ meaning ‘by chance’ which referred to the fortunate discovery of the stone in the 1700’s.
Aventurine is believed to be a luck stone. It is said to assist with confidence, prosperity, optimism and positivity.
The adjustable shank is made from nickel free pewter coloured metal. The face of the ring measures around 28-30 mm across.
